PENINSULA PLAYERS THEATRE –– Where the sun sets, the curtain rises and the stars shine. Discover Door County’s professional theatrical treasure, presenting Broadway-quality comedies, dramas and musicals for 82 seasons. The 2017 season opens with “The Actuary,” a world première romantic comedy-drama by Steven Peterson. “Peter and the Starcatcher” will have imaginations flying high in this play by Rick Elice based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. Be swept away by the beautifully lush musical “The Bridges of Madison County,” based on the novel by Robert James Waller and created by Jason Robert Brown and Marsha Norman. “Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime” is a delightful comedy full of muddled murder by Constance Cox, based on the story by Oscar Wilde. The season closes with “Almost, Maine” by John Cariani, a charming off-beat comedy in which love is lost and found.
Mother Nature provides the picturesque setting and the Peninsula Players’ renowned artistic company provides a truly unforgettable theatrical experience for visitors and locals alike.
