DESCRIPTION:These artists work with color in expressive and inventive ways. Chroma is defined as the purity or intensity of color\, and the work of these three artists notably “kicks it up.” All three artists draw inspiration from nature and enhance the chroma beyond what we typically perceive. Maltman and Gilchrist incorporate dizzying brushwork\, shifting perspectives\, layering\, and patterned elements\, defying many conventions associated with the landscape genre. Schwaller uses transparent glazes and opaque\, graphic carved elements that complement the painterly mark-making of Maltman and Gilchrist.

DESCRIPTION:Reserve your spot for an exclusive tour of this privately owned architectural treasure tucked away here in Ephraim. Originally built in the 1960s in a Nordic revival style\, Binkhaven has endured to be one of the best-preserved examples of its architectural and interior design type. Inside\, visitors are immersed in rosemaling\, a Norwegian folk art literally translated as rose-painting. The ceilings and architectural features were painted by Sigmund Aarseth\, one of the most influential rosemaling painters of the twentieth century. Best known for his decades teaching at the Vesterheim Folk School\, Sigmund had a profound effect on rosemaling in America. SUMMARY:Christmas in the Village
DESCRIPTION:Start the holiday season in Ephraim with a day packed full of holiday fun!  Santa will make his grand entrance and his elves and reindeer will be waiting outside Village Hall! There will be horse-drawn wagon rides through town and holiday crafts and activities inside the Village Hall. At the end of the event\, walk over to Harborside Park to watch Santa light the Christmas tree.  Local businesses will also be holding open houses during the day.
